Our latest mezzanine floor installation was carried out for our client based in Malvern, Near Worcester. The floor was constructed using 38mm chipboard and fire rated by using an Armstrong ceiling grid; in conjunction with column encasement and perimeter edging.

Complete with handrails, kickplates and 1200mm wide part K staircase.

Our client was keen to use this floor as an office space, so the requirement (for regulations purposes) had to include full fire protection.

The Challenge

Our most challenging mezzanine floor to date, simply due to area constraints. The floor measured 75m2 and covered half of the available space.

Our workmen had to install through tight working spaces and avoid boxed products.

Aphex worked through the weekend (at no extra cost) in order to reduce distruption.

Outcome & Achievements

The outcome of the job is that we completed on time, in budget and minimised disruption. The floor was a fully working office by 8am Monday morning, and a success.
